Casual, practical and made for 1 Battery RA soldiers and veterans – a proper bit of kit for The Blazers.

Your name, service dates, unit motto, tour, operation or nickname can be embroidered around the 1 Bty badge on the left chest, free of charge. Just fill in the personalisation fields when you order. Back printing isn’t available on fleeces, but we can add embroidery to the right chest or sleeve on request. Want a hand with the wording? Just ask.
Fleece Features
Made from 320gsm anti-pill polyester fleece, this quality full-zip jacket has a cadet collar to keep out the chill, zipped side pockets with mesh lining, cord pulls on every zip and a bungee drawcord in the hem to lock in warmth.
Available in a choice of colours and sizes XS–4XL (4XL fits up to a 50″ chest). Decorated garments should be washed at 40°C.

History
Originally raised on 1 August 1779 as Cuppage’s Company of the 1st Battalion, Royal Artillery, this historic sub-unit is one of the oldest active batteries in the British Army.
It earned its famous title, “The Blazers,” during early 19th-century operations, later serving with distinction across the British Empire, including deployments in the West Indies, India, Hong Kong, Aden, and Malaya. During the Second World War, the battery fought as part of the 5th Indian Division, participating in the East Africa campaign and the critical Battle of Keren in 1941.
In December 1984, following a brief period of disbandment, the battery was reformed at Larkhill as part of the reconstructed 14th Regiment Royal Artillery. Today, the battery serves as the Headquarters and Initial Trade Training (ITT) delivery sub-unit for 14th Regiment RA, overseeing the training, administration, and support structures for all new personnel entering the Royal School of Artillery.
