T-Shirt Specification
This premium tee is made from 100% cotton (97% cotton, 3% polyester in heather grey), weighing 205gsm in colours and 190gsm in white. A cotton/Lycra® collar helps the neck keep its shape, while shoulder-to-shoulder taping and twin-needle stitching on the neck, sleeves and hem add durability.
Classic fit, available in 10 colours and sizes S–5XL (4XL–5XL in selected colours), with the 5XL fitting up to a 58″ chest. Decorated garments should be washed at 40°C.
Who We Are
We’re proud to be signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, supporting serving personnel and veterans in and out of uniform. History
Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers History
The corps was formed on 1 October 1942 during the Second World War to centralise the maintenance and repair of the British Army’s increasingly complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Before its creation, these duties were scattered across various branches, including the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and the Royal Engineers.
REME quickly proved vital during the North African Campaign at El Alamein, keeping tanks and artillery moving under fire. Throughout the Cold War, the Falklands Conflict, the Gulf War, and operations in Afghanistan, the corps evolved to service everything from heavy battle tanks and helicopters to advanced cyber and communication systems.
Today, operating under the motto Arte et Marte (By Skill and By Fighting), REME technicians are deployed globally, embedded alongside combat units to provide immediate tactical repair right on the front lines
